I guess sheetrock can be used to close off a media cabinet
They were wandering why the house smelled like bathroom and the cat liter. Only good part here was that the door to this room was louvered.

I know this is a dumb observation given it is clearly a DIY or hack job. But why did they even use a 4" filter? Not like much air can get through that return anyway.

I wonder if they had to relight the pilot of the WH and it probably would pull the flue gasses down also. What a poor install and not properly taken care of afterwards too!
