Ok The preferred way in my locale ( NW NJ ) to hunt
turkeys is with bow and arrow. Blasting them with buckshot
is stupid.
Hitting one with a .22 in the head is the trick.
But unfortunately the only ones who can do that are
Southern boys, the ones defending us right now.
Thank God for them.

I would need the shot gun. I have friends who use bow`s. They are fanatical about it and practice all the time.

Hey Dice and Robin, We had a turkey that I shot for Thanksgiving and it was tender and delicious.
No Dice I didn't have to shoot it off somebodies front porch.
