WINE CELLAR
I'M DOING A WINE CELLAR AND I WAS MISQUOTED FROM MY SUPPLY FOR THE SIZE OF THE UNIT TO PUT IN , I RAN A 7/8 LINE SET AND NOW I ONLY NEED A 5/8 LIN SET. THE ROOM IS ALL FINISHED SO I CAN'T CHANGE IT. THE LINE SET IS ABOUT 60-65 FT LONG. WHAT KIND OF PROBLEMS DO YOU THINK I MIGHT HAVE WITH THE OVER SIZED LINE SET, AND SHOULD I PUT AN OIL TRAP ON THE SUCTION LINE, THE BLOWER IS ABOUT 8 FT LOWER THAN THE COMPRESSOR. THANKS

Poor oil return or no oil return.

I would install a couple of traps and replace what line I could with 5/8.

I can probable replace about 15 ft or so with 5/8, and I was planning on putting one trap at the unit, you think multiple traps are better? thanks

Make it a pump down system an set the lpc high.
If it doesn't go easy, you are not using a big enough hammer.

It might sound odd and probably won't work. But it is worth consideration. If it is soft copper, fairly straight and with no 90's in it. You might be able to feed the 5/8" inside the 7/8".
I like DIY'ers. They pay better to fix.
