Oh my yes! Combustion problems are frequently rotten to figure out because of a lot of possible variables and the difficulty of examining the system.
If I had a competetor I hated, I'd send all those tough combustion problems over to them to figure out. Instead, people tend to refer people to ME! Who have I teed off do you think?
I posted a thread a couple of weeks ago where I was hired as a consultant to help bird dog combustion problems in a condo building. The nice thing about that one was that I got to critique the work other people had done without actually having to fix anything myself! Good work if you can get it.
This is a good thread, and people had some good ideas I hadn't thought of myself.
The bottom line on most combustion problems is that IF the equipment is installed the way it is specified in the installation manual, it will work in most cases. Comparing the way it was actually done with how it should have been done is a very powerfull approach to solving these problems.
