    Levers on side of fireplace

    Hello,

    I was wondering if anybody could help identify what these levers on the side of my fireplace are for. There is one on each side. At first I thought it might be a fresh air intake control but this fireplace is located in an island in the middle of the room so I don't think there is any access to outside air.

    The levers pull out and then fold down. See pics below.

    Without seeing the installation manual, it appears to be the straps used to attach the fireplace to the surrounding framing.
