Wood & propane, central air heat
I wasn't sure which forum to place this in. It could be "Going Green", but I wasn't particularly concerned about GeoThermal at this point. So here goes.
I talked to another HVAC contractor about obtaining a wood burning stove/furance that has a heat exchanger that can be used in the basement of a house and use the existing forced air ducting for distribution. He wasn't able to point me to companies making or installing this type of equipment.
High efficiency propane for backup... and room for the usual A-coil for summer cooling.
If anyone would please direct me to
(a) the correct forum
(b) any manufacturers or installers of this type of equipment
it would be greatly appreciated.
