Has anyone heard of a TXV on a Trane XE1000, or any heat pump for that matter, not working properly and either cuasing humidity or interferring with dehumidification?

Has anyone heard of "tech discovered" technique of taking the bulb end of the TXV out from inside the unit and mounting on the suction line underneath the insulation? (No insulation between the txv bulb and the cold suction line pipe either)
