Even for those that have no interest in speed the engineering in these machines is outstanding.

Looks like he had one run at 380mph

Listening to the drivers in unlimitted class streamliners at 300 mph the mile markers pass by about every 8 seconds.

What I like about Bonneville is there are very few rules as far as spectators go. Mostly just stay off the runway.

Sorry in my book that is not a motorcyle it is a 2-wheel streamliner; it is none the less a great accomplishment.

Well there are similarities as streamlining goes but there is still a handlebar, throttle on the grip, and brakes. Remove the cowling and it looks more like a bike than a car but with a lot of stuff that defies interpretation.

As far as road rash I would rather go down on the salt than any other surface. As the sun warms the surface it becomes almost slick. The week before the races it rained. On Wednesday it was a lake. By Thursday noon the runs were ready. The salt and sun just soak it up.
