Help please - Trane or Carrier WSHP?

Ive got some Trane water source ACs that would wake the dead.

I was called in to look into noise complaints in a large law library. A Trane heat pump above the ceiling in the stacks was making horrible rattling noises. Most of it was caused by tubing banging into adjacent tubing and devices within the unit. Several of the tubes had noticeable divots in the copper - including one in the hot gas line. It wouldn't have been long before that unit was oil-drenched inside.

I've never seen any other WSHP units that have so many problems with this.

Really! So very good to know! Now we can all start replacing our old water source heat pumps with these slick new Multistacks! I'll start right away by selecting a replacement for the 2-Ton, horizontal, ceiling-hung unit I was gousing about above!

Oh ... wait!
Multistack units start out at 20 Tons! and aren't likely to be available in ceiling-hung, horizontal models any time soon! I guess swei must've thought we were talking about something entirely different ... just before he dropped this little piece of spam into the forum!

Not a shilling, and the thread has drifted quite a bit from where it started so apologies if I mis-read things.

WSHP is a big umbrella that really does cover a lot of applications. I do not sell them, but have worked on jobs where they were retrofitted -- obviously not ceiling hung.
