    Home inspector passed this..

I mean I understand that common hvac practice may not be common knowledge..but what in #$%* is this?

Oh yes..that system is not temporary it's been like that since the new owner moved in...He bought the home site unseen. Moved from california bought it over the internet (oklahoma) His home inspector thought it was ok.

It's even got a trap in it..even though the return air is open to the room...You can't see it but the evaporator has been replaced and the unit is larger than the evap so the drainline goes straight down through the return..so no filters.

But don't worry..in that trash can..is an industrial sized sump pump.

I wonder if whoever did this had a license..

I'll just sit back and have a snack while I wait for the pics. Break time. Call in a the computer geeks. Quick.
Sound installation practices is the key to success. Equipment is only as good as the person installing it.

If I can't fix it, it ain't broke.
