i used to take it..till i ran out and just keep forgetting to get more. Not for joints more for heart and liver heath. If u do get some get the "burp free" kind the cheep stuff comes back up and taste like u have a fish in your mouth that has been on the beach for a week. I used to take chondrotamin(spelling) for joints..till i ran out and just stopped taking them...there was a study that showed it did not work as well as u thought, which is the truth, my joint aches are coused by weather and no pill but Advil will stop that

I take them every morning. I buy the "enteric coated" pills to avoid the fish burps. I dont know if they really do anything for me. But I'm sure that they cant hurt.

do a 1200 fish oil and a 1200 flaxseed oil daily, with a multi, b complex, and garlic, all washed down with a beer. oils help cardio, and supposedly with the joints.
i missed 5 days of the 'oils' and my knees were on fire
never tasted the fish - except when stoopid me bit into one. yeech!

fish oil for cholesterol............found it to relieve joint pain
Freeze the fish oil pills...........avoids the fish burp
Dr. gave her prescription for fish oil (industrial strength---6x-10x stronger than anything over the counter)

I've thought about the enteric coated version. What kind do you take, and where do you find them?
I also have a reflux problem with the "Res Q" brand. A very high quality capsule, but that fish taste later made me stop.
The reason some take fish oil for their joints is that the active ingredients are "anti inflammatory" agents. So, since atherosclerosis is an inflammatory disease, and so are bad joints, it is a good supplement for both problems.[Avatar photo from a Florida training accident. Everyone walked away.]

I used to eat fish oil pills, untill I got a taste for fish. I eat sardines alot, actually had 4 oz of smoked salmon with breakfast, eat catfish, talapia, salmon in bunches of forms. Love salmon and it's chock full of omega3's and all that good stuff.
My doctor gave me six months to live, but when I couldn't pay the bill he gave me six months more.

give the freezing a try--------------you'll be pleased
oh yea, wifeys a nurse.............the stress related heart attack she had...
gave her a different outlook on a lot of things.
she won't try anything that has adverse repurcussions.
she won't even stick with her cardiologist instructions if they don't settle well with her.

Salmon is great. A little pricey around here. Flounder is good too, just for taste.
I've never gotten around the fishy taste a lot of seafood has. Even tried sushi once. Man, that was a rough meal to get through without barfing.
This is the stuff I used to take. Probably the most expensive Omega 3 formula there is. I will probably look for something less expensive, since I am not qualified to judge the claims of potency of EPA and DHA.
