Lots of red tags by gas company.
Furnace sits on enclosed landing by basement steps.
Water heater in basement vented to flue box on furnace.
Supply pulling from enclosed area/basement.
Ductwork a total mess.
1/2" gas line about 50ft, with 5 90's, feeding 125,000 btu furnace, water heater, gas dryer and stove.
Landlady says gas co. is crazy, her husband did all the work himself when they lived in the house and they have had it rented before.
She is meeting with gas company on Monday to tell them they are wrong and get gas turned on.
LOL

So, uhhh....
Which pipe is the flue pipe, again? Because I'll guarantee you that furnace is leaking so much CO that any one of those is supplying enough of that gas to every room in the house to make everyone feel sick.
WHY?

The flue pipe went about another 20 ft with two elbows into a old brick chimney with no liner.Originally posted by mayguy
