Fidel Castro said obama was 'brave'.

"It would only be fair to recognize that no other United States president would have had the courage to say what he said," the former Cuban leader continued.
I personally knew he was a socialist looooong ago......

HAHAHAHAHAHA!!
WTF are you talking about?
Afgan and Iraq have not superseded the USA.
WALL STREET, well boogers, but we still have one big wanker of an economic power.
"""Might be time to start working with the rest of the world rather than telling it what to do. """
I think you mean that "it might be time to stop supporting the rest of the world and make it clear we will only deal on equal terms from now on."

Here's where we are. China employs their population by purchasing US debt. The Us Government puts that money they borrow from China into the US economy via the reserve or fracional banking system. It works this way, you deposit 100 bucks at your local bank of america and the bank gets 1000 bucks from the feds to loan out, that's right ten to one that's why it's called fractional. Some folks call this a ponzi scheme, they are smart folks. So now with the loan someone gets they go buy products made in China. Chinese people have jobs.
So if you think we have a free market system that Obama is about to screw up, I hate to tell you this, we're not free at all. We're just a big cog in a communist government trying to keep the masses happy.
It's sort of a draw though because they own so much of our debt they can't afford to do away with us and we can;t afford to do away with them. We're pretty much joined at the hip with the chinese and because the rest of the world is awash in dollars, the rest of the world is by default part of the mess too.
It's just one big global debt binge and we're all a part of it. Basically global socialism is already what we have.Steamfitters Local 602

You can not conquer a country that you consider a stone-age laughing stock. Iraq was a mess that you stepped in and are still trying to scrape it off your shoe. Just amazing for a world supper power.
China is at this time overtaking Japan as the second biggest economy in the world. Their star is rising, doubt they would be taking orders from anyone, other than taking orders for trinkets (actually almost anything).
Just wait until all the chickens come home to roost and the U.S. dollar looses its reserve status because it is worth less than a peso.
Now why did you say you can go and dictate to the rest of the world what to do?

Actually the big bad recession barely hit China. They are down to 7% growth rather than 9% or something silly like that. Their people are becoming their best consumers and in a few years they could survive nicely without the rest of us.
All those American dollars the Chinese have are being used to buy up companies and resources throughout the world. The reason is to feed its economy. They have been paying top dollar, well it seems like top dollar now but when inflation hits in a few years they will seem like cheap acquisitions.
The Capitalist system (banking system included) is built on consumption and growth. In our lifetime we will see a point where there will not be any more growth in the system and the house of cards will come down.
