This is a loading dock where I've been working the last few days. Just imagine how hot it is here in the Summertime. Or changing a compressor 15' up in the air on a 7 1/2 ton condenser. In pics 4&5 the Carrier was blowing its discharge into the Lennox, thus the sheet metal diverter. We are moving the Carrier out onto the roof. Lots of fun working around all the pigeon poop. If one of em dumps a load on me I'm coming back with a Red Ryder BB gun to shoot their eye out!

Who in their right mind would install condensers indoors like that?

I've worked on a lot of water cooled package units in hotels where they put them in the lobby 20 feet up in the ceiling tiles. Talk about a pain in the butt, one of them has a leak in the evaporator and it's on a side that's right up against the wall and needs to be pulled down with a scissor lift, fixed, and put back up.

Why didn't they at leasts cut a hole in the roof to discharge the air from those condenser's...They are just cycling their own discharge air,can't be very effective cooling..How do you clean them with nitrogen or air wash...

I wonder what the manufacture would warranty on an installation like those????????

Most of the frieght type buildings,I am assuming that this is where these units are located,mount them on frames outside -up high so trucks and forks can't hit them...

There's apartments up above them and trucks have already hit the unistrus holding several line sets. It's all in a day's work and I get paid by the hour.

an install like that is going to have a recurculation problem. it is just going to keep cycling the same hot iar threw itself. put it on the roof please, at liest give it a chance to work properlt LMAO in Texas

There are apartments on the floor above? I bet they can feel the vibration right through the concrete. No vibration isolation anywhere. Those babies will really be hopping when the head pressure is running 425.

There had to be an architect involved in this design.
