typical left move, back away and pretend you want nothing to do with them after controversy happens.....i.e. Obama with Rev. Wright.

the left hailed van jones upon his arrival, it is no secret. he was supposed to be a huge gift to the dems.......and was introduced as "a person that obama had been after and researching for months". Now when the controversy happens Obama acts like he had no clue of Vans tendencies, just like he had no idea of Jeremiah's tendencies.....laughable.

but that is the nice thing about the czars, since they are not "legally" considered to be under the president directly and are not up for election or appointment he (obama) can act like he has no idea about their background.

If Van does not represent the left, then you cannot make the assumption that Joe represents the right. Sitting there during the speech not clapping, showing no emotion was enough for the republicans, we did not need Joe's outburst.

By your criteria, Van Jones, an admitted communist, represents all of the left.
I can't say that I know much about this Van Jones, but I have observed about three times now where you say he was an admitted communist.

Where is the smoking gun where he makes the confession?

search his name and communist and something from Fox News comes up, that refers back to some other article. I went through a couple articles and it used up my attention span.

So I figured 'k' would know where it came from.

    Earlier radicalism
In 1992, while still a law student at Yale, Jones participated as a volunteer legal monitor for a protest of the Rodney King verdict in San Francisco. He and many other participants in the protest were arrested. The district attorney later dropped the charges against Jones. The arrested protesters, including Jones, won a small legal settlement. Jones later said that "the incident deepened my disaffection with the system and accelerated my political radicalization."[16] In October 2005 Jones said he was "a rowdy nationalist"[13] before the King verdict was announced, but that by August of that year (1992) he was a communist. [13] Jones's activism was also spurred on by witnessing racial inequality in New Haven, Connecticut: "I was seeing kids at Yale do drugs and talk about it openly, and have nothing happen to them or, if anything, get sent to rehab...And then I was seeing kids three blocks away, in the housing projects, doing the same drugs, in smaller amounts, go to prison.[12]

have to go all the way down to finally see the infamous quote, I only made it half way through before. Figured that would have been the headline that he was a card carrying communist.

To be clear; I didn't mean for this to be another pile on for Van Jones. Just making a point to Mikey that one person doesn't necessarily represent an entire group as he tried to infer.

Like I siad, I noticed you referring to it on about three threads now, just was wondering where it came from. Seems to be from one article and he was hanging around with radicals.

You would think that this Wilson guy hangs out in this forum and it would not surprise me if he represented a member or twos district. Most of them would have a similar outlook

Eh, we have people on the far end of both sides here.

But that's where debate comes from.
