Now back to the original question asked by poster. What has happened to this country ? There have been many presidents making speeches to children from both party's. Both sides are never happy about it. Why ? Has this country been so polarized into stupidity ? We used to give presidents more time to screw things up but not anymore..............

The problem is in America both the Left and the Right have become infested with people looking for power at the expense of 'the people'. In other words, they have all become fascists to one degree or another. The Left has been at it for over a century while the Right is playing catchup ball for survival.

The Left has infected our education system for many decades. No longer do you need to point to individual schools known to be Progressive such as Columbia and Princeton. Now virtually all schools have a Progressive element. They surface at elections to rally young impressionable minds to their cause and their candidate with glorious speeches that sound so noble and anti-establishment. They teach kids that Change is needed and Change is good. FWIW, "Change" = Progressivism, Socialism and Fascism. They want to tear down the Judeo-Christian foundations of this country and replace it with their brand of liberal fascism, which means, power and control.

What better way than to indoctrinate small kids? Major sports teams have 'farm systems' to cultivate future players so why not future revolutionaries? They learned years ago the value of long term investing. Liberal fascist know that to win the war, they must settle for very small short term victories wherever they can get them. Every time an institution of the Old Guard is overturned, it is deemed a 'victory for the people'.

So, while you may not think much of banning public Manger scenes at Christmas, school prayer, or staring at beautiful women deliberately dressed in skimpy outfits for more than 5 seconds as harmless, they all count to the collective of the Revolution. So, why are all these libbies so pro liberal fascism? Do they expect to get their slice of the pie over the proletariat? The entire Leftist Progressive liberal fascist movement is based upon one thing: greed. People wanting to take from the other guy. They want your money and they want power over you--period. To do this, they will tell lies and distortions about big corporate greed, meanwhile THEY are the ones stealing not only your paycheck but your soul and control over every essence of your life. They are, in fact, SLAVERS.

It boggles my mind that so many people who support the Left so vocally have no clue about the foundations of their system or the way it enslaves people to the benefit of a very elite few. Why in the world would blacks continue to vote democratic when their policies have enslaved the black population to the Dems.? Same with unions--bought and paid for. To say you belong to or support the Left or attack the Right tells me you do not have a conscience anymore and have sold it to the devil.
