    smart sensor install location

    I need to install a Carrier smart sensor to complete a three-zone system. My only available location is on a wall next to a light switch. The install instructions advise not to locate near AC power. Is this due to safety concerns or possible electrical interference?

    At the off chance of sounding rude would this be considered something for a professional forum? I have done this before and think I may have advice but I know the comrades on here don’t like giving out professional advice to DIY's.

    sorry. my bad. I just needed a quick answer as the "professional" who installed this system tried to extort another $ for something he promised to begin with. I'll search somewhere else.
