" Pumping Away " and " Primary / Secondary Pumping Made Easy " from Dan Holohan. These explain the function of an expansion tank ( and it's relationship to a pump ) in closed loop piping systems.

Also check with some of your local suppliers sometime they offer training from equipment manufactures. I know wirsbo "Uponor" use to offer some training too.

    Thanks for the responses.
Does "Pumping Away" apply to modern wall hung boilers?
Also I'll be taking a hydronics course on Saturdays starting mid Sept.
I'm looking forward to it, I've worked on a few boiler installs but wasn't responsible for the piping. I kinda get it and used "Modern Hydronic Heating" for reference. That helped but I'm looking forward to learning the "why" as it wasn't always possible to learn while working.
