    Does anyone know where I can get a 24 volt 3 amp blocking diode for AC (not DC)? Any help is appreciated

    most any radio shack should have one.... I got a 10 amp one for a tv I fixed once!

    You'll need a minimum 50v or 100v PIV to rectify 24 vac from a 'former.
    3A is just about the biggest you can go without a heat sink on the diode.
    Try Hosfelt, Digi-key, Jameco or Mouser.

    was in the paper this week the company has changed its name to THE SHACK now dont ask me why but it works>

    I have bought diodes from Parts Express but I don't know about the a/c http://www.parts-express.com/wizards...diode&x=26&y=5
