VRV Systems

can anyone shed some light on commercial vrv systems. (lg/daikin) pros/cons/pitfalls/make up air solutions. also, heat pump performance w/o back up heat. have two large jobs in the hopper. any insight is appreciated.

I don't know any thing about Dikin or LG but I do have a half dozen mitsu system out. 4 of those are hyper- heat models that last year during the coldest part of the year -17 at 8:00 am at a school was putting out 114 degree discharge. The make up air is going to be taken care of by a packaged (gas fired) unit and a ERV.
This system has only 85% connected capacity which explain the high discharge temps. This system has no electic back up but the current boiler system is staying in as a back up.
We have had no problems with the system but again it is only a year old

these systems are getting very popular with the design engineers. they look like the future. i just need to get one under my belt.
