Good install, the only thing I might have done differently is lowering the disconnect boxes to cover the house penetration and eliminate the extra J.

Points well taken. Somehow I was concerned about snow buildup.

And here is an inside shot but I realize now that we all need to wait and take a picture when its done not when its working.
Obviously the sec. pan needs some piping.
I hung the first unit high and sat the second unit on
stry blocks so that access was easy. walk up under the first
unit and then access the second. The occasional wood hanger adds to stability. That is a wood platform to raise the far unit enough for drainage

The far unit with filter drier. 20 ft of 14X10->10X10
Goodman AR24 set at slow speed.

That is the first time I have seen Goodmans installed so neat. Most of the time they are balancing on the old slab and a log.

i bet you get a lot of satisfaction out of a job like that double install,the job i posted i had about 5 minutes of fame and felt like a prostitute on a rainy saturday night...the pride i felt for doing a good job(there)was my reward....like you said "the big time" but it takes alot out of a person when people are constantly wanting results for 2-3 months solid.

I've done two similar setups they cost more but everyone
likes the result. Not taking anything away from zoning.

As for the "big time" or "big apple" I did have a break
after working as steamfitter for 15 years I retrained
and worked in NYC in a different
profession ( computers , no satisfaction ) now I'm back doing what I did best anyway or trying to.

Working around NY does take alot out and you don't get
much satisfaction, everyone expects perfection. But
thats what you miss about NY when your not there.

A funny thing happened one day when I looked inside
a Trane, Carrier, Goodman, etc. all the parts looked
the same. I thought I was confused but went back to the
truck and found most of my replacement parts of similar
or better quality. How long will this Brand name scam
go on? Its the installer and the installation.

I installed several Goodman units in the past, had problems with all but one system. Biggest problem was coils springing refrigerant leaks. I dropped my Goodman dealership in 1992, and went to York. Since changing to York, I've had only one warranty issue come up, and they gave me excellent support with the issue, even paid me my regular street labor rate to correct the problem. Never got that kind of support from Goodman!
