After 18 months of prison sex he would probably enjoy that.

There are people who have killed kids that didn't get into as much trouble as Vick did, that kind of tells you how screwed up our justice system in the US is.

He paid his debt to society. I don't agree at all with what he did, but he deserves a second chance. I hope he is reformed and moves on to be a better person.

Actually, public figures are forced to live by a higher standard, and their punishments are sometimes greater because of that. If you are a Governor and screw a hooker, you can lose your job as governor. Even if she's not a hooker, but a south American news babe. What would happen if we did that? Well, most of us would be back at work the next day. Why? No one cares what you or I do in that area.

Now, Vick was a pro athlete and a role model of sorts, like it or not. Add to this crime the vehement animal rights movement, and then amplify that aspect with the almost psychopathic aspect of cruelty of both fighting dogs and the execution of dogs that failed to win, and you have a public relations nightmare that few have equaled in the world of sports.

So, many people believe that the statutes were correctly applied in this case, within the range of guidelines for sentencing, based upon all aspects of the crime.

I can see this being the TO story all over again for the Eagles, unless Vick has truly turned over a new leaf, and can still play the game.

Why Philadelphia of all places? Surely there are other teams that could use a quarterback more than them. Then again I forgot that he really wasn't much more than a backup anyway.

    You can't be serious ?

Like him or not , he's the best athlete the NFL has ever seen.

Great athlete, sure. Kordell Stuart was a great athlete, too. Neither were good quarterbacks, though. I bet Kordell won more games.
