    Confused Sarcasm by "PROFESSIONAL MEMBERS"

Just curious why are some, not all "PROFESSIONAL MEMBERS" posts seem very sarcastic and somewhat condescending. I am new here but I thought this site was intended to be helpful. Please enlighten me............

Do you need a thrashing thrashme?

Lighten up, there is a great deal of helpful information here. HVAC guys, by my observation, tend to be a tad sarcastic when 'off the clock'. Join the pro-membership and you will see more of what you seem to be looking for.

Maybe what you see is banter between members who have been to gatherings of members. They do that occasionally. And what you see here is a long time friendship of guys who have been members here for a very long time.

If they were sarcastic with you, it's usually because they like you and the sarcasm is actually razzing...sort of an initiation.

Maybe you should lurk a while before posting if you don't care for the bantering.

And as has been recommended, apply for pro status and you'll have access to some of the best HVAC knowledge on the face of the planet.
No reserve. No retreat. No regrets.

For those who have fought for it, freedom has a sweetness the protected will never know.

Agreed Boots, this place has been instrumental in the successful launch of my own small business. The pro-forums are more business-like. Pricing and detailed technical info are limited in the general section, hence more 'static' to the casual observer.

I highly recommend the pro membership, as it has been a great for me technically and the business section as well. Everyone here has been very helpful and kind to me, [MUCH APPRECIATED GUYS].

Get the pro-status thrash, you will not regret it.

You may find heated discussions in General and ARP but for the most part, we tone it down in the other forums. We have all done something stupid when our brain has apparently shut down temporarily, so when that happens, our sympathetic brothers will jump us and criticize. We have to raze and criticize because we are unable to give you a noogie or a wedgie and welcome you to the brotherhood. We have all had our original soft, baby smooth skin ripped and shredded by the caring members here and we waited with baited breath until it was our time to devour the young. Keep posting and asking questions. Just not DIY because we can't help.

Neat, everyone that responded was a personal member!

There are even some gals here and I guarantee they can be just as sarcastic as the fellas. Of course, you guys generally ask for it though!

Because I do apartment maintenance, the razzing makes me feel accepted...so...so...one of the guys...so complete...like..like...all those years of being frowned upon by service techs as a hack were just part of the grand initiation...I AM SOMEBODY!!!!!

    Ok...I'm good...
(The wise men of modern thought) adore a god made of putty or of wax - plastic, effeminate, molluscous, with no masculine faculty about him, and no quality that entitles him to the respect of just and honest men, for a being who cannot be angry at wrongdoing is destitute of one of the essential virtues, and a moral Ruler who is not angry with the wicked, and who refuses to punish crime, is not divine. ---Spurgeon

Not my hurt feelings, just noticed some harsh responses to some questions by those that may not be as sharp as some other members. Ok, I filled out the Professional app, copied my epa & state license am forwarding it to the powers that be. Wasn't trying to ruffle too many feathers, like I said I'm new & am seeking enlightenment.
