    refridgerant line

I have been told I cannot install a 16 seer system on my second floor because it has a two stage compressor and the refridgerant line is greater than 25 feet. I was told it cannot be this high. Is this correct.

If you mean the condenser sits on the ground and the furnace/air handler is above it on the second floor, then there is no problem with having a two stage unit.

If the condenser is above the air handler or furnace, then there may be issues with oil return depending on vertical distance, lineset size, and length.
