    best method

I have to set a self-contained A coil in an existing system and run line set and thermostat wire to out door unit. I am wondering what is the best way to mount the coil. I am thinking of mounting it on top of the return box. It is a verticle airhandler. I don't guess it has to be on the supply side for any reason does it?
Also what is the best method for mounting the filter to it? I was going to mount it right on top of the coil in the return line. Are these acceptable methods. This guy got a used 3ton Colman and matching coil and wants me to help him install it into his duct work. I have not had much experience in sheetmetal work. would it be ok to make the transition using duct board? This guy wants to spend as little oney as possible. He doesn't even want the outside disconnect used, just wire it direct.
    Thanks in advance.

You don't have the experience to be doing this by yourself.
