    Blower Wheel Alignment

I'm replacing the blower motor in an American Standard upflow furnace and I noticed the blower wheel was not exactly centered in the blower chamber. It was about a 3/8 inch closer to the inlet opposite the motor. This was the factory motor and I could tell from the set screw marks that the wheel had never been repositioned. I'm planning to put it back together with the wheel centered unless there is some compelling reason for having offset a little. Am I overlooking something here?
