I got a new bass geetar!
I picked up a 1981 Gibson The Ripper guitar this morning and cant wait to jam with the guys tonight.

Its in beautiful condition and came with the original Gibson case. They dont make um like this any more.

Looks like an old melody maker. Hows the action, just hope it stays in tune unlike the Melody maker

These things were work horses and stay in tune despite humidity conditions. Quality is excellent, pickups (2 gibson super humbucking) are excellent and I love the 34 1/2 in. scale length (20 frets).
Very difficult to find in this condition. I did pay 700 bucks though, which is a fair price. I got a stand, cables, tuner, new set of strings and the case.

I had a EB2 with cherry finish in high school. That was 1968. It was sweet.

When my dad died, his 1959 Les Paul Starburst went to my cousin. He can make it scream. At first I was upset I didn't get it but after hearing my cousin, I know it is in better hands.

Your joking, but, I did a call at a little ol lady's house years ago and she had a dozen mountain dulcimers all made by her hands, no power tools. She had one made of glued together giveaway yardsticks!
And, I have an old high school acquaintance that tours up and down the east coast every year with her hammered dulcimer.G T T
