Carrier 30RAN022-S-5110 Chiller Isolation
Does anyone know if this chiller has internal isolation valves or a pump on the chilled water side? Model # 30RAN022-S-5110
For some reason when I start the chiller the water flow jumps up

The easiest way to find out is to open the panel where the chilled water pipes enter/exit. If there is a grey box inside, you probably have a pump there. Or even easier, look for the pump contactor in the electric panel, it will have a sticker on it saying something like "PMP", or similar.

They can be optioned with a 1 or 2 pump package, or without. The installation/startup book will have the information as to what it came with by the model nomenclature. If you don't have the manual it can be downloaded off of the Carrier Commercial site. Originally Posted by HVACJOEK
