    Ya got to get your post count up to at least 15 then you can apply for pro membership were theirs a ton of info to be had and that will also get you into the Educational forums were their is even more info.

    There! Do I pass? I've taught the G3 course for maybe 2.5 years now (the poor buggers) and helping teach the G2 course now....in Canada in case that didn't get out

    kinda stumped

    i was working on a hydralic oil cooler with no tags on the unit or the compressor.thay had a book on the unit but it showed being a R404 with a maneurop compressor but it had been changed out with a copeland compressor.with the unit off the equal press was around 150 psI. my question is with no tags what refrigerant am i woking with?? the compressor is dead and wont start. i havn'worked with 404 much thanks

    yes... but your "good post" and "good info" posts don't count.


    Your posts must be informative or in other words.. they must tell the Membership Committee something about you.. so far all they know is that you can hit "enter"

    it's really simple,
    grab your PT chart and record the ambient temperature. look up the ambient temperature and find the related pressure. It should be fairly close to that on the chart... but if it is much higher their could be non-condensables in your system... or a different refrigerant (this could be higher or lower.) good luck.
