Ought to come to Austin, TX. We are stuck in a heat wave, been 100 or
more for 50+ days. I have replaced so many compressors this summer,
I can not even remember how many. A/C systems have to run almost
24 hours a day right now.
Replaced a compressor on a Rheem this afternoon, have to replace
a compressor on a Carrier tomorrow. Terminal on the compressor
coroded, got hot and blew out, and dumped the puron charge. The
HO never changed the filter, and system went down hill from there.
Thursday have to change out a 2 hp compressor in a refigerated
trailer.
Friday is my country run, fix fan motors, capacitors, relays, all that
kind of stuff.
Somewhere in between these calls do my regular stuff. Also have
a 7.5 ton cu change out that I have been putting off since the old
system still works, just most of the fins on the coil are coroded away.
All of the supply houses are very busy also.

Was thinking Raleigh NC would be my next choice if I leave Oregon but now im not so sure.
You NC guys, are commercial or residential?
Oh and while I'm on the topic of NC, can someone recommend a town that is big enough for a good commercial workload yet be near the white water rivers please? Thats the nice thing bout working in Portland, your always a few mins away from the great outdoors.
