heat pump problems
have two heat pumps for the house. one is working fine. the other froze up a couple times. 1st time i let it thaw and turned it back on and it was frozen again in matter of hours. 2nd time i let it thaw it seemed to run fine for a few days. then i smelled what i think smells like a really hot iron. this happened twice. 1st time fan stayed running. 2nd time fan stopped running, but it didnt trip a breaker. condenser and fan housing were cold. i'm thinking the motor for the blower is bad and getting hot and that is what i am smelling. then it shuts itself down after getting to hot. any help is greatly appreciated. also if anyone knows what might be causing this do u have a ballpark figure of how much it will cost? thanks
