    ?

I am going on 6+years as a resi tech and have been looking to posssibly go commercial side. Problem seems all the companies want 5 years at least exp on commercial equipment and some even post resi techs need not apply. So how do you get the experience? You can probably tell this is frusturating.

Go and apply anyway...atleast you have a foundation they can work with.

doesn't your residential company do any commercial buildings?

a company that writes something like "residential techs need not apply" you don't want to work at anyways.

you sound about like me...... we have a lot of split system heat pumps in businesses, but they are mostly what we install in residential serings. Larger systems in some bigger buildings.... and RTU's but we dont do a whole lot of commercial. I just installed my first RTU the other day. Worked on quite a few.... but was my first install of one.
