10 Ton water vacuum
This is what happens when you install a 10 ton RTU with 1 - 12"return,
They could not figure out how it would only leak water only so often into the building, they removed the economizer 3 years ago thinking it was leaking.
I just got lucky enough to see it suck the water up through the fresh air hood like a water spout even luck to get a little videoLast edited by hvac248; 07-25-2009 at 10:57 PM.

having trouble attaching video, it was taken with a digital camera as a .MOV file. whats the best way to attach it?

There is no provision for attaching videos. Your best bet is to upload to YouTube or something like that and then link it here.

18" flex is only good for 5 tons isn't it?

if i recall 18" round is good for 3 tons. 6"=1/4 of a ton 8"=1/2 10"=1 12"=1 1/2 . This is all for residential based on about .8 in wc. Commercial is different because you have more static pressure and cfm's. if im wrong please enlighten me!
