Are you getting the Infinity control?
If removing a furnace from a chimney, are they lining the chimney for water heater?
What model humidifier?
What model air cleaner?
New lineset for the cooling system?
Warranty details? Standard? Extended?
I received a quote for an Infinity 58MVC080 Furnace with a 25HNA636 Heat Pump. The quote letter says the price includes installation and Aprilaire humidifier and high efficiency media air filter.
What questions should I ask the installer to make sure I get the most out of this setup?
Also, are there any details that are left out of the quote letter that I should clarify? i.e. air handler size etc... (I don't know much about HVAC but am trying to take a crash course so I can ask the right questions prior to the install)
Thanks for helping...

Thanks for all of the help, this is worse than car shopping...
He did say he would line the chimney but it isn't in the quote letter. and all standard warranties apply. No mention of infinity control, lineset, or model numbers for air cleaner and humidifier. Warranty is standard.
I assumed an infinity system would include the infinity controller, now I know that isn't necessarily the case.
What's the difference between the 58MVC080 and the 58MVB080?
I'm starting to read on the net and there are so many model numbers it's mind boggling. I'm also starting to wonder if I should get a quote for the XC95 system as well.
MVC is the 3 stage, MVB is 2 stage. Both can be run off of a $10 thermostat but insist on the Infinity control!
I'd expect the dealer to be more informational in what he is doing, what he is using etc.
The Trane communicating system is nice but the Infinity still can do more and has been out longer.
Thanks, I absolutely will get everything in writing prior to selecting him as the contractor. I still have 2 bids out but I want to make sure I have all of the bases covered.
What about the air handler? Will it be part of the furnace or is it a separate item? I have read about low end air handlers being installed but that was for a Heat Pump install only.
Edit: Do I need to know anything about what evaporator coil he is installing or will it be part of the total package?
I'm a HO. Just did this. Rebates, tax credit certification, clean up, insurance/license, if reusing line set what flushing will be used, providing 1st filter, old equipment removal
You bet! Especially if there is a tax credit involved. Another real surprise, new coils can be huge. Will there be any space, duct, drain, electrical, etc. rework and who pays. See my recent post about potential 3rd party coil issues on the thread: Are there matches not on AHRI that qualify for tax credit.
