    Just a dumb single mom in Texas

    Monday my ac quit working. I called my AC company and they say I need an entirely new system because the compressor is not working right.

    The tech said the temp of the coolant going into the house was 87 degrees and he whipped out his Fluke and showed it to me. He said that showed that I needed a new condenser.

    If the coolant is 87 how does my house cool to 76?

    You need to edit out the company's name and also your prices "per rules" I would have to get a second opinion if the techs approach was like that.

    Regarding the rules, I'm just a dumb female; if I can't understand that the coolant going into my house indicate I need a system how could I possibly understand the rules of this site.
