Aside from everything else, please tell me that my eyes deceive me and I'm not seeing a fan blade laying in the bottom of the unit on the last photo?

My favorite is the upside down fan blade.
Did you give them a quote for combing the coil?

At least a trap was installed before someone stepped on it.
Sound installation practices is the key to success. Equipment is only as good as the person installing it.

If I can't fix it, it ain't broke.

The old blade made the motor wobble so I had to use the smaller 4 propblade and turn it around.
The cond coil was also packed with dirt and I had to split and clean. I did not get a pic of that.
The contactor was welded shut. Which should have been replaced with the compressor.
I am recommending a new front unit. That' the one with the flattened fins and 2nd stage flat on charge. It would take 1/2 a day to fin comb.
