I have gotten a couple of proposals for a replacement system.

And I am thinking about dual fuel, vs straight AC and NG.

And I am trying to figure out what percent of my heating can come from a heat pump.

One deal said 85% and another about 50%.

A few years a go I would have been temped to go all electric. Resistive heating was also equal to NG.

But since then the NG prices had moderated and even real cheap right now, but I don't expect that to last.

And electric is going up.

And while there has been a big run to develop new NG field I think that it will control the NG prices, but I am sure that they are going up.

And our electric is mostly coal generated and with the current political climate go up even faster.

So I want to do some what if's with different electric rates.
