Advice on replacing 20 yr old Ruud system

Thanks in advance for any help or suggestions. I am replacing a 20 yr old Ruud central a/c system with natural gas furnace. THe unit is 3.5 ton but most people who have given me estimates are advising to go with a 4 ton system. My system is currently working but the bills are extremely high in the summer (I live in E. TX and has been 100 degrees plus already) and I am replacing unit for higher efficiency system. I have estimates for Comfortmaker, Aire-Flo, Carrier comfort series, Ruud, and Goodman and all are around the same price within $. Any advice on which system to go with? Thanks for the help

What contractor do you get a warm fuzzy feeling from?
Just me, I'd have to pass on the Aire-Flo. The rest are all pretty close to each other.
