    Using Trane XL 1200

    Can I replace my regular 3 ton unit with a Trane XL 1200 heatpump. I read somewhere that the heatpumps are reversal and has a valve to flip between heating and cooling. I only need it to cool and don't know how to do this.

    A heat pump can be used as a cool only unit.

    Your HVAC contractor will know how to do it.
