About the Trane CH530 chiller data logging method

    Dear All,
I would like record down my RTAC (CH530) running status (Water IN/OUT temperature, compressor amp ...etc) witch 1 min interval and 24 hrs period. Which kind of software / method you advise to use?
    Many thanks!

Without Kestral View, I think you can just take "snapshot" logs on a CH530 (with regular techview). I'm not absolutely sure, it's been so long since I've used the regular Techview and it was a much older version, but newer versions may have the capability you're looking for. I'm sure someone on here knows.

Man, do I miss Kestral View sometimes.

MKnyc and others, I am new to this site and found it looking for info on TechView and the Kestral view program. Dont loose hope. I am friends with one of the local Trane techs and talked with him about getting the Kestral View "key" for 3 RTAC's that we've just taken over after warranty. He told me that we could infact get it from Trane but for a price. Fortunate for me I work for a contracor and they are willing to buy it, because of the "service log" that you gain. We are very persistant with our logs and include them as a service tool on every job. THe bottom line is, it is accesible so don't get to excited yet. I hope to share more info with everyone as well as recieve. Glad I found ya.

I don't think Techview or Kestrelview will do what you want to do.
Kestrelview might do it, but you would have to leave your laptop hooked up to chiller at all times to accomplish.
Then you would probably crash your PC due to the amount of data stored.
You would be better off getting a Tracer Summit system and setting up a Trend and a Report that is written to hard drive.

    Cool

Both leaving a laptop (albiet not sure it fill up the harddrives we have in them)hooked up with Kestral or using tracer can accomplish what you're looking to do. I use my laptop alot. Fire it up and bring up whatever service manuals for the machine I happen to working on. Very convenient.
