We took a leap and bought a drilling rig

Keep us posted on how that unit runs. I've been talking to Troy at AMS about those sonic rigs for use here in the Seattle area. Actually, if they hadn't been so avid to show it drilling rock, I would've come out to the show they had in Idaho....there's no rock where I'm looking to use it.

If you don't have to drill rock, this unit really really shines.

What kind of production are you getting with a 6" hole? Has the rig had any issues?
We can always run air rotary on rock holes (I have 6 air rigs, after all), so I wouldn't even think of taking a sonic rig into a rock formation.

We drill a 4 1/2" hole. We can drill, install geo loop and grout two 200' holes a day.
