    A hell of a lot of roof but put it on the ledge for better airflow.

    Hmm

    dont you have codes out there? how do ya put a fence around that since its within 10 ft of the edge of the roof? Could this just fall if the wind blew? Old grocery stores used to build steel platforms for the equipment to sit on really close to the edge of the roof but that thing is balanced on a knee wall

    I wouldn't worry about it. The lineset and elec lines will catch it if it falls.

    Seriously I think you should tell the person whom it belongs to exactly how dangerous that install is. What could happen if it fell on someone.

    Thats just about as bad as the one I saw on a rooftop. Janitrol package heatpump setting four concrete blocks high. Three foot from edge. Duct in with ductboard through old curb. I stopped the other tech. from pushing on it to see if it would fall.

    This was on top of a four story building. Now I see how the other company beat our price by a thousand dollars.
