    need help with age of evaporator coil

    see attached picture....also, what brand is this?


    model number

    GH36S H242 48

    serial #

    4/7-1884

    48,000 BTU

    I'm guessing it is a 1988 4 ton....original to the house.

    Its a Carrier I think...

    the 4/7 is the date..

    '87 or '97 not likely '07 huh!!

    Hopefully one of the carrier pros can get 100% accurate!!

    Looks like an Aspen coil to me. Guessing it would be a '97. But, that's only a guess.

    Just got off the phone with the supply house. Aspen, either '84, or '94,seventh month. 1884 is the number of the coil produced. 4/7, the year and month.
