Damn hippies!....they make good fire wood.

Very wrong perception. The absence of any physical description of Jesus tells us that he was actually a very normal looking man for His time and place.

If Jesus were to walk among us today, He would most likely blend in without any physical attributes to be noted and would more then likely be considered exactly what He was considered in His own time; a man to be followed.

    WERD!
Unfortunately, I agree and live my life for the most part by this. It is a shame we must be like this, but the influence of evil is with us all and no one is immune to it completely.

I firmly believe that most victims could have avoided being so if they were just a little more vigilant of their situation and the people they were exposed to.

Some of the people in here have extremely closed minds.
I'm not a religious person by any stretch of the imagination, but I like to keep an open mind, and I am trying to understand the 'religious' side.
I live in a small town, so you soon learn who is trustworthy.
I was raised as a Catholic, and grade school was controlled by nuns.
Religion lessons were taught from the business end of a wooden yardstick.
Just keep in mind that religion, like any other man made organization, is going to be as rife with evil influence as any other group of human beings. That does not at all affect your faith in God if you carefully study the various aspects of which ever religion you may decide to become affiliated with. God does not change, the perception of man about God does.

Religious organizations can be wonderful ways to study a faith, but should not themselves become a faith. It is always best to bounce your personal understandings of passages in scripture off of others who may be seeing the passage from a different viewpoint. In all studies of scripture, always pray on your perception and ask God to keep you on the right track. If you are honest with yourself, you will be surprised at the results.

Scripture says to trust no man. Says nothing about non-believers, atheists, etc.

I kinda like what RWR said, "Trust. But verify." Good advice.
