    Question pipefitters local 597 wage increase

    does anyone know what the new wages are starting june 1 2009

    I heard all local 597 apprentices took a pay freeze for one year starting June 1st. The local, journeyman, and contractors were all in agreement on this.

    597 accept felons?

    I have a felony for selling pot is this going to keep me from getting into local 597?

    I don't think it's the local that won't accept you, if anything it'll be the shop that won't. I know of a union shop that might take you.

    not to get in Apprenticeship or local but some contractors will not hire convicted felons. You probably will be prevented from working on Security clearance sights too>
