I think President Carter was one of the worst American presidents ever, and certainly the worst in my lifetime. I even had visions that I was put near DC so that I could "take care" of things if he got re-elected.

Still, he is a decent man with a lot of intelligence. Just because we don't have the same political views as others do does not mean they are scum bags....or less then.

My wife teaches school where for the last several years all she heard was Bush Bashing. Last week she simply mentioned Obama in a neutral way (not bashing at all) and she was accused of being political by another teacher who had been the biggest Bush basher of all.

Dude.... tell your wife to either keep her mouth SHUT at all times or stand by to have her career destroyed. Especially if she's a registered, voting, religious, non-minority. She can voice her views most effectively in the polling booth.

It's sad, but the education system that we rely on to prepare our kids has become almost more dangerous than Crack Alley. It's up to the rest of us to stand up and speak up because they (educators) can't.
