Sorry to hear that. Hit the pawn shops and watch craigs list. The important thing would be catching them and choking the living crap out them. I would be crippled real bad if my truck and tools were stolen. And yes I leave my keys in my truck all the time, DOH. Fortunitly not a high crime rate area here in Central Oregon and NO sales Tax either.

Had great Ice cream and good diner food and a curved counter on the North side ....

Just found this thread. That blows. Even the most lazy of us breaks his ass daily. It's not right. I hope you get justice.
The views and opinions posted here are my own. They do not reflect the corporate policies of my employer and will most likely get me fired at some point.

I cant wait until this happens to one of my guys personal cars. Seems like almost every call i have to say [lock the door] next call [lock the door] Finally ending in my yelling lock the fing door. I try and be a security freak since ive had many things stolen over the years.
Its not just having some scumbag steal from you its the sense of violation and anger i hate dealing with, and good god if i ever caught someone stealing from me i am certain i would go to jail. If anyone found the body.

    I hate to say this but;

for example if you notice money on the floor will you pick it up?

Leaving temptations to other people is indirectly committing a crime by inducing other to commit a crime.

If you see it, and decided to ignore it, is also committing a crime by leaving temptations to others so that makes you, again indirectly, the accomplice. So its 2 counts of criminal offenses.

So by removing temptations you are actually helping others to avoid becoming a criminal. 1 count of promising good soul. ^5

Possible solution is to report a lost and found and hopefully, for an appropriate reward.

So best solution is don't leave temptation around.

I'm trying to decide how this fits into the thread.

Is it too "tempting" to park a locked truck in a lot next to a mall for 90 seconds?

Now, an unlocked truck running with keys in the ignition? Yes, that would be "temptation."

    I don't think so.

I'm not making a crimal by leaving keys in my truck. It's not my fault someone takes something that does not belong to them.

I've been responsible for four peoples actions. Myself and my three kids. Two are now 18 or older. They aren't theifs. I've got 12 more years to teach my youngest how to be a responsible member of society. Then I'm responsible only for myself.

I live in a small town where people leave houses unlocked and keys in the ignition. That is how our parent raised us, to be honest and respectful of other people and their property.

We have our turds here also but it's not due to us leaving an opertunity. Their parent where turds, their grandparent where turds, and I suspect their ancesters where turds aswell.
