The guy who needed the Palm came by and got it Sunday night for his job. Haven't heard back from him on how it worked out, but my project manager wanted to extend a thank you for getting us the program...

The definition of cruel joke is when you start work in BAS, and you run into your old T&B employer on the job.

Hello, two of my balancers want to start using the Palm Pilots again; my question is can the software be installed on a Windows-based device? I have some Dell handhelds in very good condition and was curious if they would be compatible.

If you have the MTOOLs software there is a Palm application that will work on a WinXP-Pro OS. Hard part is getting the "Little Black Box" that plugs into a Laptop serial port and then the wall sensor jack (AS-CVTPRO100-1, which is obsolete snaps onto Plam III devices). An AS-CVTPRO300-1 is about 400 plus bucks if you have to buy new. Contact your local JCI channel for more info.

Old topic, different spin, and different employer!!
I need the Johnson Controls PC balancing software. I have the Metasys box that goes from a serial port on my computer to a stat. It came with a USB to serial adapter, the box, cables, everything... just no software was in the box (as I got it).
Am I missing something here, or do I need to get in touch with my JCI guy to get the software. From what I was told, we paid about $1400 for this setup...NeonHomer
