    Trane parts-only extended warranty.

I have a Trane XL14c Dual-Fuel system - installed one year ago. Didn't buy an extended warranty then - considering it now.

A 10 year parts-only warranty is about 1/3 the cost of the parts/labor warranty.

I'm trying to decide between the parts-only and the parts/labor warranty. I know the unit has a 10 year warranty on the compressor and a few other parts, but it doesn't cover things like circuit boards, fans, etc.

So, I know this is a general question, but on average how many hours labor would, say, a compressor replacement require? a blower fan? circuit board?

I bought my extended Trane warranty--parts and labor-- earlier this year and shopped around with various Trane dealerships. Prices will vary. Would perhaps pay to check it out.

I purposely didn't post the actual price quotes of the warranties, just the difference in the price since it's relevant to the question. (Even that figure was not actual). That's not allowed?

Anyway, I've edited the original post.

Nope. Not even the price difference.
