    Advice needed on Trane XL15i....

    Any suggestions on a thermostat?

    That is a good qualifying matchup and that air handler can be configured to work with a 3.5 ton outdoor unit. 12.5 EER, 15 SEER, 9 HSPF.

    You're lucky you have the space for that 63" tall/26" wide air handler!

    Should be a good system as long as it's installed properly (and it looks like you're comfortable with the dealer).

    He mentioned the height and we checked - it will work.

    Any suggestions on a digital thermostat??

    Honeywell VisionPRO IAQ (YTH9421C), configured to control blower speed for dehumidification. If not, then the Trane TCONT803 (same thing as VisionPRO 8321, which can only cool to dehumidify). The "IAQ" is the preferred thermostat for dehumidification.
